About

Purple Monkey Sircus is a hip-hop quartet including members Qx3rd, Mitchx10, Johnny Thirdboy, and Uncle JuJu. The handsome foursome hail from Cleveland Heights, a suburb of Cleveland, OH. In late 2008 two of the members, Mitchx10 and Qx3rd decided to make a mixtape with the world renown disc jockey Mick Boogie. After recording a song cleverly named by Johnny Thirdboy, “The Purple Monkey Sircus”, the name stuck and transformed into the name of the mixtape. Success instantly followed the release of the mixtape with highly appraising reviews, posts, ratings and interviews. A few of which mistook the title of the project for an actual group name. Recognizing the response, the duo shortly after noticed the appeal that Johnny Thirdboy brought to them as a group, inducted him into it, and continued to make hit after hit. While working on a project that would later become PMS 3: Candyland, a close friend of the group, Uncle JuJu began to show a remarkable talent in his lyricism therefore joining the group in the following months. Purple Monkey Sircus has been said to be one of the most refreshing groups to be heard in a while; because of this, they’ve sold out various shows and concerts alongside artists such as Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, and The Clipse, and even garnered the attention of hundreds of blog sites, major newspapers such as The Washington Post, and thousands of reliable fans. What the future holds for the group is more than obviously success of mass proportions. Still not convinced? Just ask someone who’s heard their songs.
